he LOGICA3 software is developed for designers who wish to analyse the structural reinforcement of reinforced concrete nodes and subsequently design the reinforcement using the SIS.MI.C.A.® method. In view of the fact that a calculation model is not always available to carry out the analysis and design of the reinforcement, two analysis methods are provided, called Analytical Method (MA) and Simplified Method (MS).
The MA allows the analysis of the behaviour at the node through the definition of stresses and, therefore, requires the definition of the global calculation model of the building. The MS is specially designed for local interventions and allows the node behaviour to be studied without having a global calculation model of the building, by means of a few input data. Within the Logica3 calculation programme, it is possible to design the reinforcement of corner nodes and façade nodes, always within the same save file, by inserting the elements with the .csv file, which can be downloaded from the download section, or multiple insertion of the elements from the calculation software. Using user-defined data, such as the geometries of the elements converging at the node, the characteristics of the materials and the acting stresses, it is possible to proceed with the analysis of existing nodes and study their behaviour in the presence of reinforcement. Particularly useful, in cases where a vulnerability analysis is carried out, is the definition of the equivalent stirrup, a function available after defining the characteristics of the reinforcement. This command makes it possible to return a stirrup with characteristics equivalent to the reinforcement, by means of diameter, design yield stress and equivalent pitch. These values can be imported into the node of the existing structure to carry out the analysis at the design state and grasp the global behaviour of the building reinforced with the SIS.MI.C.A.® method, obtaining a value of αPGA which quantifies the actual improvement made to the structure. The software is divided into 7 consequential steps between which the user can move easily and at the end of which he can enter all general job data. The analysis is conducted via the fibre-resistance model. The data he will have entered will follow a unique path in all the accompanying documentation of the job order (executive drawings and calculation report) as well as in the elements designed and intended for the building site by means of a unique identification plate.Project development step by step
